Biography
Dr. Celic received Ph.D. from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, working under guidance of dr. Jef Boeke. She completed her post-doctoral training in the Department of Neuroscience at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. She continued her research career as a Research Scientist at the Department of Embryology, Carnegie Institute of Washington, Johns Hopkins campus. In 2013, dr. Celic started her position as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at Tulane University School of Medicine.

Dr. Celic research focuses on repetitive genomic elements, called LINE1 retrotransposons and their contribution to cancer, aging and infertility.
