Atul Singla, MD

Dr.Singla grew up in Northern India and attended medical school at Dayanand Medical College & Hospital Ludhiana, Punjab. He completed internal medicine residency and cardiology fellowship at University of Missouri, and a year of vascular medicine training at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio. Continuing his interest in cardiovascular diseases he moved to Massachusetts to train in Interventional Cardiology at Baystate Medical Centre/Tufts University. Interested in minimally invasive approaches to treat vascular disease, he completed an additional year of training at Yale University specializing in peripheral vascular interventions including carotid and aortic endovascular therapy.

His area of expertise includes vascular medicine, deep venous thrombosis, pulmonary embolism, hypercoagulable disorders, heparin Induced thrombocytopenia and minimally invasive, catheter-based procedures such as angioplasty, stenting, stent grafts, atherectomy and intravascular ultrasound to treat coronary, carotid, abdominal aortic aneurysms, and peripheral arterial and venous diseases. He is an expert on minimally invasive approaches to reconstruct lower extremity arteries in order to treat critical limb ischemia and prevent amputation. He also has experience in the percutaneous treatment of valvular heart disease including aortic and mitral valve disorders.

Dr. Singla`s research interests include clinical outcomes in interventional cardiology and endovascular interventions. He has a special interest in novel minimally invasive percutaneous approaches to treat cardiac, venous, and arterial diseases. He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular diseases, vascular medicine and interventional cardiology.

He speaks hindi and punjabi. He enjoys running, swimming and traveling.
