Biography
Dr. Geraldine Ménard is the Section Chief of General Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and an Associate Professor of Medicine. Dr. Ménard cares for hospitalized medical patients, teaches medical students and residents and is a consultant to the inpatient surgical services. She has been recognized for teaching with receipt of the Owl Club and Internal Medicine residency Faculty Excellence in Teaching awards, and the Department of Medicine Clinical Excellence award. She has served as a faculty advisor to the New Orleans Healthcare Improvement Organization, the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s IHI chapter at Tulane and as a faculty mentor for the Internal Medicine residency’s quality improvement projects. She is a member of several national organizations including Society of Hospital Medicine, Society of General Internal Medicine, Association of Chiefs and Leaders in General Internal Medicine and the American College of Physicians.
Interests:
Her clinical interests include coordination of care for the hospitalized patient and preoperative evaluation and risk assessment.
