Biography
Dr. Michele Simoneaux is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at the Tulane University School of Medicine. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Tulane University where she studied cell and molecular biology and anthropology. She then obtained her medical degree from Tulane Medical School. She completed her Internal Medicine/Pediatrics residency at Tulane as well.
Dr. Simoneaux provides patient care and supervises residents at Southeast Louisiana Veterans Healthcare System residency continuity clinics. Her clinical interest is in chronic pain management.
Dr. Simoneaux has been interested in medicine since childhood. Her interest stemmed from caring for and living with a chronically ill mother. For anyone considering a career in medicine, Dr. Simoneaux suggests exploring all of your interests prior to solidifying your decision. She also feels that it is important to maintain a well-rounded balanced lifestyle.
