Erin E. Biro, MD, FAANS

Dr. Biro is a native of New York, has joined the nationally ranked Department of Neurosurgery at Ochsner Health System. She is the first female adult neurosurgery attending within Ochsner as well as the New Orleans area. She earned her medical degree from The State University of New York Upstate Medical University. She completed her neurosurgical residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, NY.
Dr. Biro’s surgical expertise includes minimally invasive techniques for spinal decompression and fusion, microsurgical, minimal access, and endoscopic techniques for cranial and skull base pathologies, and deep brain stimulation for movement disorders.
