Biography

Dr. Bhargav Earla is a third-year Anesthesiology resident at Tulane University School of Medicine. Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, he earned his undergraduate degree from the Georgia Institute of Technology before completing his medical degree at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Earla earned both a Master of Business Administration and a Master of Science in Biotechnology from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Throughout residency, he has focused on developing the clinical expertise, technical skills, and leadership qualities needed to become an outstanding anesthesiologist. His goals include reaching his full potential as a physician, matching into a cardiac anesthesiology fellowship, mentoring future residents, and contributing to the continued growth and success of the residency program.

Dr. Earla chose Tulane because of its exceptional clinical training, high-volume and diverse case experience, and strong record of fellowship placement. He values the opportunity to care for a complex patient population while learning from accomplished faculty in a collaborative environment that encourages both professional and personal growth. He is passionate about supporting his fellow residents and helping foster a culture of mentorship, teamwork, and excellence.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Earla enjoys running, weightlifting, photography, and watching football. He especially appreciates New Orleans during the fall, when the city comes alive with festivals, Saints football, live music, and the excitement that leads into Mardi Gras season. He looks forward to continuing his training at Tulane while preparing for a career in cardiac anesthesiology and providing exceptional care to patients throughout the Gulf South.
