Robert Epstein, MD
Biography
Robert Epstein, MD, MPH, is an Anesthesiology resident at Tulane University School of Medicine. Born in Louisiana and raised in Texas, he completed his undergraduate education at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Texas at Austin before pursuing graduate studies at UTHealth Houston and earning his medical degree from UT Health San Antonio.
Throughout residency, Dr. Epstein is committed to challenging himself through complex clinical experiences while becoming a dependable and supportive teammate. He is particularly focused on expanding his experience in regional anesthesia and developing the clinical knowledge and technical skills that will prepare him for his career after residency. He is also passionate about medical education and hopes to make a positive impact on the residents and medical students who train alongside him.
Dr. Epstein chose Tulane because of its collaborative and supportive culture and the strong relationships between residents and faculty. He especially values the program’s commitment to supporting residents while maintaining high standards for clinical training and professional growth.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Epstein enjoys spending time with his wife, family, and friends, playing board games, trying new restaurants, following basketball and football, skateboarding, gardening, and cooking. He appreciates New Orleans for its food, music, culture, festivals and parades, and proximity to his extended family.
