Nicole C. Wright, PhD, MPH

Biography
Dr. Wright earned her Master of Public Health (MPH) in 2005 and Doctor of Philosophy in 2010 from the University of Arizona. Her research focus is in musculoskeletal aging epidemiology, primarily osteoporosis. She recently joined CHOICES in August of 2024 and serves as the Director of Education. Dr. Wright has served as the principal investigator and/or co-investigator on numerus federal and industry supported projects including her recent R01 from the National Institute of Arthritis, Musculoskeletal, and Skin Diseases focusing on the role cardiometabolic disease plays on bone strength in the the Coronary Artery Risk Development in Young Adults (CARDIA) study. She also works extensively with the Bone Scientific Interest Group of the Women's Health Initiative, and has evaluated osteoporosis outcomes in national data sets like the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey and Medicare. She has had many leadership roles at the institutional and professional level, and is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Bone Health and Osteoporosis Foundation.
