  • ADMIRE-ICD: The primary objective of this trial is to demonstrate the efficacy of neurohumoral imaging with I-123 MIB) imaging for appropriately guiding the decision of ICD implantation in patients with 30%≤LVEF≤35%. Dr. Hendel
  • EMPEROR-Reduced & Preserved These are 2 concurrent Phase III randomized, double-blind trial evaluating the efficacy and safety of once daily empagliflozin 10 mg compared to placebo, in patient with chronic heart failure with reduced or preserved ejection fraction (HFrEF/HFpEF). Dr. Ferdinand
  • Barostim-Neo (CVRx) This clinical trial is evaluating the safety and effectiveness of Baroreflex Activation Therapy® with the BAROSTIM NEO System (implantation at carotid sinus) in subjects with heart failure. Dr. Johnson

  • Relationship of Urinary Angiotensinogen (uAGT) to Central Hemodynamics. Study to determine uAGT in hypertensive subjects, and to correlate uAGT with blood pressure variables and to correlate the degree of blood pressure reduction by RAS inhibition or diuretic with reductions in uAGT, uAGT and uAGT on therapy with central blood pressure parameters. Funded (CoBRE/Dean’s Funding) Drs. Samson and Sander
  • Impact of life-Style modification On abLATion outcomE in atrial fibrillation (ISOLATE) – Lifestyle and AF This prospective randomized pilot study aims to evaluate the impact of aggressive life style modification with regards to calorie-controlled diet and supervised exercise on outcome of catheter ablation in overweight and obese patients with atrial fibrillation. Dr. Viles Gonazales
  • Cooking for Health Optimization in Patients with AF (CHOP-AF) This prospective randomized study aims to evaluate the impact of focused hands-on cooking and nutrition education for patients with atrial fibrillation.  Dr. Viles-Gonzalez
