Biography

Dr. Eric Lonseth is a pain management specialist with fellowship training and double board certification in both anesthesiology and pain management. Dr. Lonseth specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of spinal disorders. He earned both his medical degree as well as master’s degree in public health from Tulane University School of Medicine. He completed his residency and fellowship with the University of California, San Francisco, where he served as chief fellow. Pursuing his interest in public health, Dr. Lonseth participated in several medical missions to the Amazon region of Brazil to help indigenous people who lack access to adequate healthcare.

Dr. Lonseth served as director of East Jefferson General Hospital’s pain management clinic, which he helped found, and served as division chief of pain medicine at EJGH to serve the unmet needs of pain patients. He has since applied a decade of knowledge and experience to create a state-of-the-art pain management program. Dr. Lonseth uses a multidisciplinary approach in the evaluation and treatment of chronic pain and has successfully developed Lonseth Interventional Pain Centers into an effective center that treats some of the most difficult pain-related cases in the New Orleans area.
