Biography
Shannon Perron serves as the Senior Credentialing Specialist for the Department of Neurosurgery at Tulane University. She brings more than 22 years of experience at Tulane to her role, along with a deep understanding of the university’s academic and clinical environment. Prior to joining the Department of Neurosurgery, Shannon spent 19 years in the Department of Anatomy and 3 years in Anesthesiology, where she gained extensive experience supporting departmental operations and faculty needs.
Throughout her career, Shannon has been recognized for her professionalism, strong work ethic, and dedication to supporting both colleagues, students, and faculty. In her role as Senior Credentialing Specialist, she is responsible for helping ensure providers meet credentialing and compliance requirements while supporting the department’s daily operations and continued growth. Her many years of institutional knowledge and collaborative approach make her a valuable resource and trusted member of the team.
Shannon is passionate about creating an organized and supportive work environment and takes pride in contributing to the success of the department. Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, crafting, and spending time with animals. Her creativity, compassion, and positive attitude shine through in both her personal and professional life, making her a valued member of the Neurosurgery team.
