Stephen Deyo

From growing up in Missouri to finally landing in New Orleans, Stephen hopes to bring his array of experiences to his new role as an Accountant for Tulane. Before finding himself in New Orleans, he attended the University of Central Missouri where he received a bachelor’s degree in history. Shortly after graduating, he went to Japan for two years to teach English, shaping himself into a better communicator across cultures and an understanding person who can work alongside anyone seamlessly.

Following his work in Japan, Stephen returned to the United States to work for the Missouri Department of Higher Education and the University of Missouri, where he was able to have an impact, helping students via policy initiatives and assisting students in discovering the variety of methods in which they could complete their education.

Finally, he attended the University of California – San Diego, where he completed his master’s in business administration and analytics. Now in a new role as an Accountant III at Tulane University School of Medicine, Stephen is very excited to be working in the university system once again. Outside of work, Stephen enjoys playing saxophone with his wife in local bands and playing pick-up basketball in the various parks of New Orleans.
