Dr. Amber Naresh is a board-certified Obstetrician-Gynecologist who is fellowship-trained in Reproductive Infectious Diseases. She is a graduate of Rice University and Tulane University School of Medicine. She completed her residency and fellowship at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center – Magee Womens Hospital.
Her clinical expertise is in pre-cancers of the female genital tract, including HPV-related cervical, vaginal and vulvar dysplasia. She additionally treats a wide variety of vulvar and vaginal conditions, including recurrent vaginitis, vulvodynia, and vulvar skin conditions such as lichen sclerosus.
She additionally has a strong interest and specialization in minimally invasive gynecologic surgery for pelvic pain, abnormal menses, uterine fibroids, and endometriosis. She provides gender-affirming surgery for transgender care. She is committed to providing medical treatments for her patients’ problems when possible, and moving on to surgical treatments when necessary.
Dr. Naresh’s research focuses primarily on prevention and treatment of HPV infection over the lifespan. She is an active contributing member of the ASCCP, the national organization which develops guidelines for the management of HPV infection in female-bodied persons.
