Biography
Dr. Ford joined Tulane University School of Medicine as a Clinical Assistant Professor. He is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology.

A native of Sylvester, Georgia, Dr. Joshua Ford is a board-certified Ophthalmologist who received advanced fellowship training in Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Orbital Oncology. After earning his undergraduate degree from Yale University and his Medical Doctorate from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth, Dr. Ford undertook his Ophthalmology residency at Tulane University and his fellowship training at MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. In addition to passionately caring for patients, Dr. Ford is dedicated to research, medical education, and community service. He has over 30 peer-reviewed publications and journal articles and has won numerous awards at domestic and international conferences for his research. He was selected as a Top Ophthalmologist by Newsweek Magazine in 2021. Dr. Ford has volunteered extensively, providing eye care to in-need communities in rural Ghana. He continues his passion for providing care for patients by dedicating time to Tulane University and the VA.
