Dr. Scott Davis was born and raised in the Kansas City metropolitan area. He lived in Texas on two separate occasions for undergraduate and fellowship training that was sandwiched around a return to Kansas City for his medical training. He moved to New Orleans in 1983 to begin a Pediatric Pulmonary Fellowship under the mentorship of William W. Waring, MD who began the section. After completing his fellowship, Dr. Davis joined the Tulane Department of Pediatrics faculty as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics. He was promoted to Professor of Clinical Pediatrics in 2000 and has remained a member to this date. In 1991 he took over as Director of the Tulane Cystic Fibrosis Care Center and continues in that position currently. In 1998 he became Clerkship director for the Department of Pediatrics. He will relinquish this post in 2018 after completing 20 years as clerkship director.
