Joanne Cain Marier, JD.

Joanne Marier is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans and an Associate Member of the LSU School of Graduate Studies. She directs the Program in Health Law & Medical Ethics, Office of Undergraduate Medical Education at LSU SOM. She is a member of the Hospital Ethics Committees at University Medical Center, New Orleans and at Ochsner Medical Center, New Orleans. She is non-science member of the Ochsner Institutional Review Board. She is a speaker/member of the LSU Board of Regents / National Science Foundation Joint Program – ‘Speaking of Science’- and speaks on various topics health law & medical ethics to high school students around the state. In addition, she is a member of the Advisory Committee of LA-CATS (Louisiana Translational & Clinical Science/ Statewide Consortium).
