Hobbies and Interests

All things Harry Potter (I am a proud Gryffindor), especially the books and theme park. I love to go out and about with friends to various breweries within the city and, when the weather allows, I like to be outside enjoying nature. Also love the NFL. Always a Giants fan, but a Who Dat as well. Otherwise, I can be found reading, cooking, attempting to keep plants alive, creative writing, doing graphic design, playing the guitar and keyboard, listening to music, hunting for the best memes, and playing video games (still waiting for Elder Scrolls VI to come out...)

Professional Interests

Disability advocacy, both for patients as well as medical students. Child and Adolescent Psychiatry with a focus on transitional age youth, early-onset psychosis and medical causes of early psychosis, emergency psychiatry, medical education, TBIs and CTE, ADHD, conduct disorder, and PTSD

What I love most about New Orleans?

New Orleanians! I have met so many incredible people, both as patients and just out and about. There is a real sense of community in this city that you don’t get in many places. Being someone who isn’t from the area, I was surprised at how I’ve felt like I’ve become part of a family here. I also really enjoy the architecture throughout the city and learning about its history. Lastly, you can’t live in NOLA without loving the amazing food!

What I love most about Tulane’s Psychiatry Program?

There are so many great aspects of the program. The very first time I met the residents, I knew that I had found “my people,” which is something I think makes a great deal of difference in a training program. My co-residents are more than just colleagues; they have become close friends with whom I am sharing this awesome adventure that is residency. I also love that the program feels truly supportive. Many programs advertise that they support their residents, but actions truly speak louder than words. The program - especially the program director - has had my back every step of the way. Additionally, I really love the patient population in New Orleans, which makes me look forward to getting up and going to work each day.

Feel free to ask/email me about...

Accessibility in the city for those with disabilities, NOLA beer scene, restaurants, and general questions about the program and wellness in residency.
