Biography
Kristen Limbach, MD is an Assistant Professor of Surgery at Tulane University School of Medicine with a specialty in Complex General Surgical Oncology. She completed her undergraduate education at Dartmouth College and her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha national medical honor society. She then completed her general surgery residency at Oregon Health & Science University in Portland, Oregon, winning multiple awards for teaching and professionalism as a chief resident. From there, she went on to complete a Complex General Surgical Oncology fellowship at City of Hope National Medical Center near Los Angeles, California, where she received specialty training in complex cancer operations of the liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract as well as advanced robotic surgical training. She has a strong interest in clinical research examining the treatment of cancers of the liver, pancreas, and gastrointestinal tract, with a particular focus on metastatic neuroendocrine tumors. She is also active in several national surgical societies.
