Hailey Silverii, MD

Dr. Silverii is a Louisiana native who grew up in Thibodaux. She earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Nicholls State University before attending LSU Health Sciences Center in New Orleans for medical school. During that time, she developed a strong interest in urology, medical education, and mentorship. She was inducted into Alpha Omega Alpha and the Gold Humanism Honor Society and received the George H. Karam Award in Teaching Excellence.

She completed her urology residency at the Medical University of South Carolina, where her commitment to education continued to grow. During residency, she received the Golden Apple Excellence in Teaching Award, selected by medical students, as well as the Thomas Alexander Kirkland Excellence in Care Award, selected by faculty. She later pursued fellowship training in pediatric urology at Seattle Children’s Hospital.

Her academic interests include surgical education, coaching, assessment, and pediatric urology. Her fellowship research focused on developing a surgical coaching model and resulted in presentations, publications, and grant-supported work. She also completed additional training in clinical teaching, medical education research, and surgical coaching. Dr. Silverii is a Certified Surgical Coach through the Academy for Surgical Coaching and participated in the ABMS Visiting Scholar Program. Through that program, she contributed to a multi-institutional project focused on developing and evaluating an assessment rubric for robot-assisted laparoscopic pyeloplasty.

Dr. Silverii is excited to return to Louisiana, where she will care for children and help educate Tulane medical students, urology residents, and future physicians through compassionate, family-centered care and dedicated clinical teaching.
