Kyle Blum, MD, MS

Dr. Kyle Blum is a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist in the Department of Urology at Tulane University School of Medicine. He specializes in the comprehensive surgical and multidisciplinary care of patients with genitourinary cancers, including prostate, kidney, bladder, upper tract urothelial, testicular, penile, and adrenal malignancies. His expertise includes open surgery, multiport and single-port robotic surgery, complex renal and retroperitoneal tumors, and focal therapy for appropriately selected patients with prostate cancer.

Dr. Blum completed his urology residency at the University of Texas Houston / MD Anderson Cancer Center. He then completed a Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital in New York City. Earlier, he completed a translational urologic oncology research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.

His research focuses on aggressive and uncommon genitourinary cancers, tumor biology, and novel therapeutic strategies. He seeks to connect laboratory discoveries with clinically meaningful advances for patients and bring emerging science into thoughtful, evidence-based cancer care.
