Biography

Research

I am interested in novel genetic and epigenetic mechanisms involved in cartilage degradation, etiology of primary osteoarthritis and other joint disorders. I use next-generation sequencing technology to identify changes in the human genome and transcriptome that predispose to these disorders. The current projects in my laboratory are focused on the contribution of dysfunctional telomeres and components of exosomal cargo (proteins and miRNAs) to osteoarthritis.
