Biography
Dr. Usman Ali is a Postdoctoral Researcher at Tulane University, where he brings a robust background and specialized expertise in the field of neurosciences. Dr. Ali joined Dr. Zha’s lab at Center of Clinical Neurosciences at Tulane as a Postdoctoral Fellow in September 2025. He earned his Ph.D. in Pharmacy from Shanghai Jiao Tong University and holds a Doctor of Pharmacy and Master of Philosophy in Pharmacology from Pakistan. Dr. Ali previously worked as a postdoc associate at Boston University, conducting research on peripheral inflammation and neurovascular dysfunction while mentoring undergraduate students. His research interests include neurodegenerative disorders, neuro-immune interactions, blood-brain barrier dysfunction, circadian rhythms, and obesity. He is excited to continue his neuroscience work and contribute to Dr. Zha’s research at Tulane.
His primary research is dedicated to unraveling the complexities of neurodegenerative. His work is driven by a deep commitment to scientific discovery and a passion for advancing our understanding of neurological health.
