Biography
Dr Dwyer joined the Tulane Infectious Disease department as an Assistant Professor of Medicine after completing his fellowship at Tulane in 2019. He is the Medical Director of the Antibiotic Stewardship Program at Tulane Medical Center, Co-Chair of Infection Control at Tulane Medical Center, and Associate Director of the Tulane School of Medicine Biosafety Clinic. He has a strong interest in clinical tropical medicine and successfully completed the The Gorgas Diploma Course in Clinical Tropical Medicine in Lima, Peru in 2019. Further interests include HIV and HIV primary care, general infectious diseases, antibiotic stewardship, and medical education.
Dr Dwyer's personal interests include French langue and culture, Spanish language and Latin American culture, traveling, and salsa and bachata dancing.
