Nikki Walano, MS, LCGC

Nikki Walano is a genetic counselor with Hayward Genetics Center. She received her Bachelor’s in Science from DePaul University in Chicago in 2010 and graduated from the University of Pittsburgh Genetic Counseling program with her Master’s in Science in 2016. Nikki provides genetic counseling to adult, pediatric and cancer patients at Tulane University Medical Center and throughout the state of Louisiana. She is also an instructor in the department of pediatrics and is an associate member of the Tulane Cancer Center.  She is passionate about patient advocacy, empowerment and increasing patient access to health information. Her research interests include metabolic and psychiatric genetics.
