Shamitha Manohar, MD

Dr. Manohar earned her MD from Government Kilpauk Medical College and completed her residency in Internal Medicine at Saint Vincent Hospital, affiliated with the University of Massachusetts. She subsequently completed a fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Tulane University School of Medicine.

Dr. Manohar is board-certified in Internal Medicine, echocardiography, and nuclear cardiology. Her clinical and academic interests include women’s cardiovascular health, preventive cardiology, cardio-obstetrics, and cardiovascular risk reduction. She is an active member of the American College of Cardiology.

Her research focuses on hypertension management, Takotsubo cardiomyopathy, heart failure, cardio-obstetrics, cholesterol management, and aortic diseases. She is dedicated to providing comprehensive cardiac care with a strong emphasis on prevention.
