Biography
Dr. Brandon J. Mauldin is the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) for Tulane University Hospital and Clinic, with 235 inpatient beds and 24 specialty clinics located in downtown New Orleans, and the primary academic teaching hospital for Tulane School of Medicine. Dr. Mauldin has spearheaded patient-safety and quality improvement initiatives to eliminate preventable harm. With his background in infectious disease epidemiology and research at Tulane Hospital, he has led improvements in quality leading Tulane Hospital to be named as Newsweek’s top 100 hospitals in 2022. He enjoys his time on the medicine wards teaching medical students and residents and clinical care as a front-line physician.
