Biography

David G. Morrison, M.D., Ph.D. is a board-certified Hematologist and Medical Oncologist with more than 35 years of experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cancer and blood disorders. He brings a patient-centered approach to care, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based medicine and clinical innovation.

Dr. Morrison earned his medical degree and Ph.D. in Cell Biology from Baylor College of Medicine, graduating cum laude. He completed his internship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, his residency at Louisiana State University Medical Center, and his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology at Tulane University.

He is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology, and Medical Oncology. Dr. Morrison has been actively involved in clinical research and is recognized for his contributions to advancing cancer therapies and improving patient outcomes.

Dr. Morrison is affiliated with Tulane University School of Medicine and LCMC Health, where he is committed to delivering high-quality, compassionate care while contributing to the academic and clinical mission of Tulane Medicine.
