Biography
Dr. Murphy “Trey” Martin is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Orthopaedic Surgery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and is a surgeon specializing in trauma. Dr. Martin is a Louisiana native, obtaining his medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. After internship and residency here at Tulane University, he went on to pursue subspecialty training as a fellow in Orthopaedic Traumatology at Denver Health Medical Center in Colorado.
His expertise involves the treatment of simple and complex fractures, periarticular fractures of the extremities, and specializes in the treatment of nonunion (fractures that don’t heal) and malunions (fractures that don’t heal as expected). He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, Orthopaedic Trauma Association, and a faculty member of the AO Trauma Foundation of North America.
Dr. Martin sees patients at Tulane Lakeside Hospital and University Medical Center of New Orleans.
