Biography
At Tulane:
Since 2016
As associate training director of Tulane’s forensic psychiatry fellowship, Dr. Sonnier's teaching focus is the intersection of mental health or development and the law. She performs evaluations of children, adolescents, and adults that are used in legal proceedings in criminal and civil courts. She also supervise child and adolescent psychiatry fellows, general psychiatry residents, and forensic fellows in many topics including psychotherapy, acute inpatient treatment, psychopharmacology, and forensic evaluations. Dr. Sonnier's current clinical work is in the inpatient acute psychiatry unit at Children’s of New Orleans (CHNOLA).
