Hometown: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

About: Chandini calls the land of cornfields, Iowa, her home. This is also the place where her interest in Med-Psych began at the University of Iowa on a combined Med-Psych Unit. She loves that Med-Psych allows her to think outside the constraints of her own reality and to be truly empathetic in a way no other type of medicine pushes you to be. Her personal interests include running (especially under the majestic oak trees in City Park), collecting and listening to records, and singing.

Why I love Tulane/New Orleans: New Orleans is new to Chandini, but the city and Tulane left a strong impression on her during interview day. As a lover of live music, flavorful food, and spirited people, she couldn’t imagine living in a better city.

Professional Interests: Chandini's professional interests include palliative care, psychotherapy, trauma, and eating disorders.
