Biography
Mr. Paul earned his MSc in Computational Biology from the University of Kerala (2010) and a BSc in Bioinformatics from IASE University (2007). He began his career in 2010 at Scigenom Laboratories and MedGenome in India, working on cancer genomics and next-generation sequencing projects. He later held research positions at Yale University School of Medicine and the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus, where he contributed to studies in breast cancer biology, cfDNA fragmentomics, and single-cell transcriptomics. He joined Tulane University in 2025.
Mr. Paul’s work focuses on integrating multi-omics data;RNA-seq, ATAC-seq, cfDNA fragmentation, single-cell, and spatial transcriptomics, to investigate regulatory mechanisms in chronic lung diseases, particularly idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). He develops advanced computational workflows and AI-assisted analytical tools, including contributions to a patented neo-epitope prediction pipeline, to better understand tissue organization, cellular communication, and gene-regulatory networks in disease.
His long-term goal is to advance precision-medicine approaches for early diagnosis, molecular stratification, and targeted therapeutic development in chronic pulmonary disorders.
