Surgical/Research Interests:

I have always wanted to treat pediatric patients, and I found a passion for both pediatric surgery and reconstructive surgery during my training. I plan to pursue training in plastic and reconstructive surgery with a focus on craniofacial, cleft, and pediatric plastic surgery.

Why I Chose a Career in Surgery:

I chose to pursue a career in surgery because it gave me the chance to make immediate and impactful differences in the lives of my patients. This training has provided me with a wide breadth of experiences varying from elective to emergent, general to subspecialized, and stable to critically ill.

Why Tulane Surgery?

I chose Tulane Surgery because of a unified vision amongst all members of the department. I get to work surrounded by faculty and co-residents focused on training the best surgeons to provide high-quality, specialized care to the people of the city I call home.

Professional | Academic Goals:

I would love to work in an academic setting training residents and fellows. The surgical tradition and teaching I have received are far too valuable not to pass on to future surgeons.

Well-Being Interests:

I like to spend my time outside of the hospital exercising, cooking with my wife, and playing with our orange tabby cat, Thomas.

My Favorite Place | Thing in New Orleans:

It's hard to narrow down to favorites in this town, but here is one example of a great New Orleans day: Start at Cherry Coffee Roasters, pastries from Levee Baking Co, wander around Magazine St for shopping and art, lunch at Turkey and the Wolf, take in the sights at Audubon Park, cocktails at Cure, dinner at Cane & Table, and then go to Frenchmen St for live music.
