Peripheral nerve injury can occur when nerves outside of the spinal cord or brain are damaged, resulting in a range of symptoms and potential long-term effects. It could feel like numbness, weakness, burning, throbbing, squeezing, cramping, itching, etc.
The Peripheral Nerve Program at Tulane uses the latest advances in non surgical and surgical treatment to get the best outcomes for our patients. We have a close relationship with our Certified Hand Therapists to ensure proper care of your condition. Our department works closely with Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Neurology to ensure quick access to any further diagnostic studies. When surgery becomes necessary, our team based approach will work to restore your function, decrease your pain, and provide you the service you deserve.

This is the Team for You:
Dr. Lisa Jaubert and Dr. Maxwell Levy.
We want to help you and we know it’s much easier if it’s all in one place. We’re conveniently located outside of New Orleans, LA at Tulane Lakeside Hospital. Dr. Jaubert is a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation physician who can provide you with ultrasounds and injections. Dr. Levy will run nerve conduction studies (NCV) and electromyography (EMG) studies. They will examine the results and work with the team to come up with a suitable treatment plan that might include surgery. We also work with our patients to select a physical therapy program that will best fit their needs.
