Everything we do is centered on our belief that the people of the Gulf South merit local access to the best possible health care. We teach foundations and innovations in medicine to the doctors of the future. And because we hold dear our obligation to educate bright, inquiring minds, we are dedicated to delivering evidence-based and cutting-edge medicine. Moreover, we are devoted to research that will improve health care in the coming years. Academic Programs
The Tulane Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine Fellowship is a three-year, ACGME-accredited program based in the vibrant city of New Orleans. Fellows gain comprehensive, hands-on training across a variety of clinical settings, including University Medical Center, VA Medical Center, East Jefferson, Ochsner, and Kindred Hospital. Our program provides individualized curricula tailored to each fellow’s career goals, with opportunities to engage in specialized clinical programs such as adult cystic fibrosis, interstitial lung disease, sleep disorders, asthma management, and pulmonary rehabilitation.

Clinical Trials
The Tulane Pulmonary Section is offering several clinical trials, registries and support groups available for patient participation. Currently there are trials open to enrollment for patients with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis, cystic fibrosis, scleroderma, rheumatoid lung, and pulmonary hypertension due to interstitial lung disease.
