What will happen at the first appointment?
  • You will meet with the clinical team to discuss your child’s medical, developmental, and social history. This information helps us to make a diagnosis and request prior authorization from insurance companies for further services.

When will I get an appointment?
  • Wait times vary depending on the number of individuals seeking services. After receiving the completed packet, an estimated wait time will be given in the confirmation email.
  • Appointments are typically scheduled for the month around the middle of the previous month. (i.e., May appointments are scheduled around April 15).
     
How do I know if TCARD will take my insurance?
  • TCARD accepts most major insurance plans, including all Healthy Louisiana Medicaid plans. Please call your insurance company to insure TCARD providers are in network.
     
What payment methods are accepted?
  • Cash, check, debit, MasterCard, Visa, American Express
     
Where is TCARD located?
  • Our physical address is 131 S. Robertson St, New Orleans, LA 70112. We are on the 14th floor of the Murphy Building.
     
Is there an age limit for patients?
  • There is no age limit for diagnostic services.
     
How do I request a copy of my child’s report?
  • Parents may call the office to request a copy of their child’s report. Reports cannot be sent to anyone other than the parent unless a HIPPA compliant authorization form is signed by the parents.
